Galena author Michele Zirkle Marcum is gaining national attention with her debut novel, Rain No Evil, but next Thursday, December 8, Marcum is turning her attention to Community Library patrons when she will be at the library to share her paranormal experiences and sign books.

Originally from West Virginia, home of the Mothman, Marcum taught English for 20 years at Point Pleasant High School before resigning to write full time, beginning with Rain No Evil based on personal experiences.

“Rain No Evil kind of wrote itself, because it happened to me,” Marcum said. “The events are based on what happened to me after I prayed to God to prove that he was real. The story is about my personal transformation, it’s why I’m telling the story, but the names are changed.”

Marcum said her story and book have gained additional national attention, including an interview on Coast to Coast, because of a recent sighting of the fabled Mothman.

“Rain No Evil, is set in Mason County, West Virginia, where the Mothman was seen Sunday and made national news,” Marcum said. Marcum said she does not have a formal presentation planned for her Community Library visit, but would share her experiences oneon- one during the book-signing event.

In addition to her December 8 visit Marcum will be at Easton Barnes & Noble at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7. Marcum’s website is at rainnoevil.com where she shares a synopsis of Rain No Evil, along with additional biographical information.
